The NY office is incredibly competitive. I'd be surprised if anyone who didn't go to a T6 with a top clerkship or two even gets through the door.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 11:40 pmSo how good of a candidate do you have to be to actually get a Susman interview? Lol

Anyone have information on how frequently do COA judges rescind offers based on 2L grades (for those who hire off plan)? I am concerned about the potential for a drop this semester.

Current SG associate. The best insight you can get is to look at bios of the associates in the office(s) you're interested at. Credentials get you the interview but fit gets you the offer (i've recommended against hiring several SCOTUS clerks for that reason).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 8:24 pmAny idea about their non-NY offices? Does anyone have a sense for SG's interview-to-offer ratio? Even better if it's specific to the new york office.

Other than SG, have people been hearing back/interviewing places? Interested in Chicago predominately, but threw out a few NY apps.

Patterson Belknap and Cravath have both given out offers for associates starting in Summer '24. I hear a number of boutiques are interviewing, Holwell Shuster, MoloLamken, Kaplan Hecker, but haven't heard of those three giving out offers yet.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2023 5:20 pmOther than SG, have people been hearing back/interviewing places?
